Comparison and Contrast

High school love life is a one of a kind experience that someone cherishes for his or her entire life in the world. High school love life is like friendship that lasts when it’s true and ends when false. High school love life is comparable to friendship because both have this feeling of mutuality where you can freely express your feelings and emotions with no doubt on what you are sharing. In high school love life you feel very comfortable in sharing your experiences in life to your partner; you also feel that what you share is something special for him or her and he or she will treasure it for life. Sharing those things to your partner is like telling your personal stories to your friends because your friends are one of the closest things that you can never live without. According to Elbert Hubbard “A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same” this statement clearly states that a friend is someone who accepts who you are and what are your capabilities. It is the same with William Shakespeare’s definition of love; according to Shakespeare “Love looks not with the eyes but with the mind”  this definition of Shakespeare states that love is not on the personal characteristics of the person but his or her qualities and virtues and life are still the most important. With Hubbard’s definition of friendship and Shakespeare’s meaning of love it is somewhat proven that love and friendship are the same.
High school love life is full of happiness and excitement, just like friendship in their adventure stage. According to H.L. Mencken “Love is like war easy that is easy to begin but very hard to stop”. A good example in line with this saying is when you make friends in your life there will always be a particular time where you will begin to hang out with each other like going to malls, having movie marathons, going out of town, and even girl or boy hunting in popular places. This stage of friendship is what they call as friendship’s climax or the adventure stage. The quoted statement defines love but it also defines friendship at the same time, it means that love is really comparable to friendship because when you make friends you build lasting relationships that has love that bonds you as one and when you love someone you form a friendship with your partner that drives you closer to him or her.

High school love life is when you give all you can to help your partner in academic performances. Like in friendship, you are willing to bring out the best in you in order to help a friend in need. When you are in the state of love especially when you are a first timer you have this tendency to a lot a time of your academic hours to your partner to do his or her homework’s in order to help him or her in his or her academic performances. This kind of approach is also done in friendship because friends do care for each other everyone is doing their part as a friend in order to help a friend in need in academics. We live in a world where no one is perfect so we ask for assistance to our friends who are very willing to help us all the time. Love life and friendship may be complicated at times but when they are compatible positive things do come out that will surely make your living happy and nice.

Argumentative Essay
Graduating students, especially those who are in their senior year in high school are all ready preparing for their college life. The graduating students have steps to do in order to accomplish and be qualified to their desired course. First is to made up their mind, focus and settle down then choose what course you really want to get and what job in the future you can grab. In choosing your course, it must be from the bottom of your heart and it is your personal desire because you are going to have a hard time in college when you enter a course that is not suitable for your skills and intelligence. Second step is to get application forms from schools that you want to try on. It is a good advice that you rank the schools where you are going to take the test so that when you are not qualified in your first choice you still have another choices. Third is to review your lessons from the past. Reviewing your previous notes will help you to answer all the questions in the entrance exam. The final step is to pray that you are going to qualify in the school where you took an entrance exam and where you want to study your college.
Though some students find it easy to have a school in college and a stable course, others are put under pressure and stress because they were not able to qualify to their desired course. This huge wall that blocks the students from entering their desired course is the wall of competitiveness in admissions. Many fresh high school graduates ended up in the course they don’t really want or in courses that they don’t even know. This part is happening because of the competitiveness of the desirable students who really wants to qualify mainly in the big 4 universities. Students do their best in order for them to qualify to that school even though Universities college admissions nowadays are in a competitive mode. Competitiveness in college admissions is divided into two different views regarding it. One is the positive side and the other half is in the negative side,
The positive sides are Colleges and Universities are yearly becoming competitive and increasing their passing rate. Universities and Colleges is Competitive because in order to produce excellent student they need to filter the college applicants who has really the will and the guts to perform well in school. What define the universities, schools and colleges are their graduates who are currently making names in the country and in the international state. Another positive side is that prominent universities are the ones that are having a large number of college applicants per year, since they are known to be excellent academic institutions. But there are limited slots available, as well as they are not too much in favor of many students in one class. Too much students in one class will lessen the attention given to each student, and will lessen your capabilities in providing quality education. The negatives of this idea are limited slots available in the course and peer-pressure for those students who don’t have the guts to pursue college. The too much competitiveness of the universities, will only allow few students to qualify for their desired course, while depriving other committed students who have the potential of being a diligent students. Students who didn’t take the admissions seriously are the ones who are suffering in the effects of too much competitiveness of universities. This hope killing process will result to smaller number of students per class. Class with lesser number student will have the opportunity to receive the full benefits of the faculty of university as well as the facilities.
College admissions are competitive because many people believe that what define the universities, schools and colleges are their graduates. Many well-known personas in the country came from big universities, that is why thousands of applicants that are graduating from high school is applying for a freshman application form in different well-known colleges and universities hoping that their destiny will be like them. Most prominent universities are the ones that are having a large number of college applicants per year, since they are known to be excellent academic institutions but even though there is a large number of applicants in a school like the big four universities, few qualifying slots are offered resulting to the disqualification of other hopefuls. Too much competitiveness of the universities causes anxiety, pressure and stress to some student applicants who are applying every year. The Universities and Colleges causes’ pressure and anxiety as the students did not meet the cut-off grades needed in order to qualify in their chosen course or they fail in their dream school. The number of accepted students per batch is also another factor in causing pressure and stress to some students.
Though some students will not qualify in their first choice of course, increasing the competitiveness level in college admissions is good because it will really test the students if they were able to learn and remember something in their high school education. Increasing the school competitiveness will influence students to study hard and value their previous lessons because these lectures and notes will be their savior in entering college. This will also test the youths of this generation whether they are intelligent and ready for global competition. But in the end grades are just numbers, what matters is that you value the lessons and knowledge you have learned since grade school and high school. Take the entrance exam seriously because this is where your future lies. Competitions in academics and Competitiveness in admissions are just two of the simple games played by a student who cares and takes his or her studies seriously.
